7th German – East European & Central Asian Health Forum | Berlin

The German Eastern Business Association (OA) and the GHA - German Health Alliance are pleased to announce the 7th German - East European & CIS Health Forum on 11 October 2024, an official side event of the World Health Summit (WHS).

The seventh edition of the Forum will focus on "Advancing Healthcare Together: Investments and Partnerships", emphasizing main topics:

  1. Digital Health in Eastern Europe: Opportunities and Challenges
  2. Healthcare Reforms in EU Enlargement Candidates: Current Trends and Developments

As VIP speaker, we are pleased to welcome the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo, Arben Vitia, the Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, Olegas Niaksu, and the Vice Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Nurlybaev.
In recent years, healthcare systems in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia have significantly transformed. Governments have focused on improving infrastructure, increasing access to quality medical services, and implementing policy reforms. Efforts include enhancing healthcare financing and promoting public-private partnerships. Advances in medical technology and digital health have improved care and patient outcomes.

Despite progress, challenges persist, such as resource distribution disparities, healthcare workforce shortages, and rising non-communicable diseases. Addressing these issues requires ongoing attention and collaboration. Stakeholders remain dedicated to fostering innovation, cooperation, and cross-border collaborations to ensure sustainable and equitable healthcare development.

We would like to offer you an exchange with high-ranking decision-makers from our partner countries as well as representatives of leading companies and experts from the health sector.

The Forum takes place as a conference with networking opportunities at the premises of KPMG in Berlin.

The working language will be English. Participation is free of charge. Register here.
